Does rotating by an odd angle rasterize my PDF?

No. The rotation is applied as a transformation matrix on the page's content stream — text, vectors and images keep their original form. Text remains selectable and searchable, and images keep their resolution.

Why does the page get bigger after rotation?

A rectangle rotated by a non-right angle needs a larger bounding box to contain its corners. The tool grows the MediaBox and CropBox to fit, so rotated content is never clipped.

Can I rotate different pages by different angles?

Yes. Each page has its own angle field on the thumbnail grid. Use the batch control to set a starting angle for all pages, then adjust individual pages.

What about negative angles?

Negative values rotate counter-clockwise — -15° is the same as 345°. Both are accepted.

Do links and annotations survive?

Yes. Link rectangles and highlight quads are transformed by the same rotation as the page content, so they land in the right place.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

Why 90° steps aren't enough

Every PDF tool can rotate a page by 90 degrees — that fixes a landscape scan saved as portrait. But the rotations people actually need are rarely that tidy. A page fed through a scanner at a slight tilt comes out crooked by 3° or 7°. A chart pasted sideways into a report sits at an odd angle. A signature photo lands at 15° off vertical. For all of these, 90° steps do nothing — you need arbitrary-angle rotation.

This tool rotates any page by any whole-degree angle, clockwise or counter-clockwise. Set one angle for the entire document, or fine-tune individual pages on the thumbnail grid — each thumbnail previews its rotation live, so you can eyeball a deskewed scan until the text lines up.

What happens to the page

Rotating by a non-right angle changes the page's shape: a 612×792 pt page rotated 30° needs a wider, taller box to hold its corners. The tool grows each page's MediaBox and CropBox to fit the rotated content, so nothing is clipped and no white bands appear. Annotations move with the page — link rectangles and highlight quads are transformed by the same rotation matrix.

The rotation is vector math, not a screenshot. Text stays text (selectable, searchable, copyable), vector lines stay sharp at any zoom, and images keep their original resolution. The file size barely changes — a few operators per page, no re-encoding.
