Quality vs. File Size
WebP’s quality slider runs from 0.6 to 1.0, just like JPEG. But at the same setting, the WebP file is significantly smaller. A page rendered at 150 DPI with 0.85 quality might be 30% lighter than its JPEG equivalent. For web publishing, that’s a meaningful difference.
DPI matters too: 72 for quick thumbnails, 150 for readable web content, 300 when you need high-resolution detail.
