Is the output really editable?

Yes. The tool generates a native OOXML .pptx — text boxes, images, and titles are standard PowerPoint elements you can edit in PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, or WPS.

How is this different from PDF to PPTX?

PDF to PPTX places a pixel-perfect image of each page on a slide — faithful but not editable. PDF to Slide reconstructs pages as editable text boxes and images — editable, but the layout is approximate.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Not directly — a scan has no text layer to reconstruct. Run the PDF through OCR PDF first, then convert the OCR'd file here.

What happens to charts and diagrams?

Embedded raster images are extracted and placed on the slide at their original position. Vector charts are not isolated as separate objects — use PDF to SVG to export those.

Can I remove pages from the deck?

Yes. The outline review lets you exclude any page before building, and you can retitle each slide.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Analysis and PPTX compilation run entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Yes. You'll be asked for the password, and decryption happens locally in your browser.

How Outline Reconstruction Works

Instead of photographing each page, this tool reads the PDF's structure: it groups text into blocks by position and font size, promotes the largest block on each page to the slide title, and pulls out the embedded images where the page placed them. The result compiles into a native Office Open XML .pptx — every text box and picture is a real, editable element in PowerPoint, Keynote, or WPS.

Before building, you review the outline: each page becomes a card showing its detected title, text-block count, and image count. Retitle any slide, or exclude pages you don't want in the deck.

What Stays Editable — and What Doesn't

Text blocks become native text boxes positioned where they sat on the page, keeping their relative font sizes and bold weight. Embedded raster images are extracted and placed at their original positions. Because everything is a standard OOXML element, you can rewrite text, swap images, and restyle freely.

Two honest limits: text color is normalized to dark gray (PDF color state isn't carried over), and vector charts are not isolated as separate objects — export those with the PDF to SVG tool if you need them. For pixel-perfect slides you don't need to edit, PDF to PPTX is the better tool.

Scanned PDFs Need OCR First

A scanned PDF is a photograph of text — there is no text layer to reconstruct. The tool flags pages with no extractable text as 'Scanned' in the outline. Run the file through OCR PDF first to add a text layer, then convert the result here for an editable deck.
