What does N-Up PDF do?

It places multiple PDF pages onto each output page in a grid layout. 2-up puts two pages per sheet, 4-up puts four, 9-up puts nine, 16-up puts sixteen.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

What layout options are available?

When should I use landscape vs portrait?

Page Size and Orientation

Output pages can be A4 or US Letter, in portrait or landscape. The tool fits each source page into its grid cell while maintaining the original aspect ratio, with consistent 2.5% margins around each cell.

Landscape orientation usually works better for 2-up layouts (two portrait pages side by side). Portrait works better for 4-up and 9-up when the source pages are also portrait.
