How PDF to BMP Export Works

BMP is the simplest image format there is — raw, uncompressed pixel data. This tool renders each PDF page at your chosen DPI and saves it as a BMP file. No compression, no quality loss, no encoding artifacts. What you see on the PDF page is exactly what you get in the image.

BMP files are large. Uncompressed means every pixel is stored individually. A single page at 300 DPI can produce a file of 25 MB or more. If you don’t specifically need uncompressed output, use PNG (lossless but compressed) or JPEG (lossy but tiny).

That said, if you’re feeding a legacy system or a scientific pipeline, the size is the point. No decoder, no compression surprises, just raw pixel data.
