How does it detect blank pages?

Each page is rendered and compared with its own paper color. A page with any real mark, such as a page number or a signature line, is kept. A page with no mark counts as blank when enough of it matches the paper, and the threshold sets how much.

What if it marks a page as blank that isn’t?

You review every page before removal. Click any page to switch it between Keep and Remove.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Yes. Enter the password when prompted; a file that only restricts editing opens without one. The cleaned PDF keeps its selectable text and links. Everything stays local.

Can it detect pages with very faint content?

A page with a small but real mark, like a page number or a signature line, is always kept. Faint show-through from the other side of the sheet is not treated as content, so those backs are still removed.

What if every page is blank?

The tool won’t let you remove all pages. At least one page must remain in the output PDF.

Adjustable Detection Threshold

Not all blank pages are perfectly white. Scans come out off-white, gray or cream, with dust specks and faint show-through from the other side. Detection measures each page against its own paper color, so a tinted blank counts the same as a white one, and specks too small to be writing are ignored.

Any real mark keeps a page: a page number, a signature line or one short sentence is never flagged, at any setting. The slider decides the rest — mark-free pages with faint texture. If a blotchy blank is still marked Keep, move it toward “More pages detected”.
