Slides That Travel Well

PowerPoint files are great for presenting and awkward for everything else. Recipients may not have Office, fonts can shift, and a deck that looked right on your machine can reflow on someone else's. This tool reads the OOXML package inside a .pptx file and rebuilds each slide as a PDF page, so the result opens the same way everywhere.

After you drop in a presentation, the tool lists the slides it found so you can confirm the deck before converting. The PDF keeps the slide's own dimensions — widescreen stays widescreen, 4:3 stays 4:3 — instead of forcing everything onto A4.

The converter focuses on the visual layer of the deck: layout, text and images.

Know the Limits Before You Send

A PDF is a static document, so anything that only exists while PowerPoint is running does not survive the trip: animations, transitions, embedded videos and speaker notes are left behind. Complex effects such as 3D rotations, SmartArt or unusual font substitutions may be simplified to the closest static equivalent.

That trade-off is usually the point. For handouts, review copies, archiving or sharing with people who just need to read the slides, a faithful static rendering beats a perfect recreation of effects they were never going to see.

Exporting from PowerPoint is fine if you have PowerPoint. This is for everywhere else.

Private Enough for the Real Decks

The presentations people actually need to convert are rarely the public ones — they are board updates, sales decks, internal training and quarterly numbers. Sending those through an upload-and-wait service means trusting a server you cannot audit.
