About SVG to PDF
How SVG to PDF Conversion Works
By default the tool redraws your SVG as PDF vector graphics: paths, fills, gradients and text become PDF drawing operators, so the page stays sharp at any zoom and any print size. Two things the vector route cannot reproduce, SVG filters and text outside Latin-1, send the file to an image route instead, which prints the browser’s own rendering at 300 DPI. You can fit the page to the SVG’s dimensions, or place it on a standard A4 or Letter page.
It all runs in your browser. Your SVG file never leaves your device. Vector mode draws text with the standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier), so for exact typography convert text to outlines in your editor before exporting the SVG.
When to Convert SVG to PDF
SVG is the web’s vector format. PDF is the print and document world’s format. This tool bridges the gap.
Print-Ready Output
Your logo, diagram, or illustration exists as an SVG. The print shop wants a PDF. Convert it with proper page dimensions and margins.
Client Deliverables
Designers export SVG for the web. When a client needs a PDF version of an icon set, diagram, or infographic, this tool handles the conversion.
Document Embedding
Need to include an SVG chart or diagram in a PDF document? Convert it first, then merge it with other PDFs using the Merge tool.
Email Attachments
Not everyone can open SVG files. Convert to PDF and the recipient can view it in any PDF reader without special software.

Page Size Options
Fit to SVG mode sizes the PDF page from the SVG’s width and height, in whatever unit they use: an SVG saved as 210mm wide becomes an A4-wide page. With no absolute size, the viewBox is read as CSS pixels, the way a browser sizes it.
A4 and Letter modes place the SVG centered on a standard page with 40-point margins, scaled to fit within the available area. This is what you want when the SVG is part of a larger document or going to a printer that expects standard paper.
Privacy: No Upload Needed
Your SVG is converted entirely in your browser. The file never touches a server. Everything evaporates when you leave the page. This matters for proprietary logos, unreleased designs, or client work under NDA.
